Chapter 57: Jen finally tumbled out of the door to the sewage treatment plant and looked around. She hadn't really gotten a chance to look around the dome yet, even though she'd been there for years. She headed downtown, searching for anyone that might spark a memory in her.
Meanwhile, about 40 years in the future, the sky was darkening to an unnatural blackness. The whirlpool swirled overhead, and Derek was rushing down the street, hoping he could get to Austin before-But there was a sudden horrible cracking noise. Derek looked up at the dome that had sheilded them for almost 50 years and saw the crack run down the edges. Outside, the zombies pounded on the glass. They hadn't been seen for a while, and were thought extinct, but apparently they were just waiting for the right moment. Paniced people ran through the streets, and huge chunks of the dome were raining down on the city like meteorites. Suddenly, Derek saw Austin run past him. Derek grabbed his shoulder. "Oh thanks god! It's you! Listen, Beth and Joseph went to the market a few minutes ago! We have to find them and-" "No Austin, there are much more important things to be done. I never should have taken you from the past. You need to go back." "Back? But I have a family here!" "You won't for long." And Derek was right. He and Austin took cover in an alley while the remains of the dome shattered and collapsed onto the city and the zombies, finally freed, rushed in for a long awaited meal.
Amy didn't realize she had fallen asleep untill Calvin shook her awake. "Amy, I know your still trying to deal with what happened, but I think Nick's in trouble and-" "You think I care what happens to that son of a bitch? He's the reason my family's gone!" Amy shouted, tears running down her face. "Listen Amy, I'm sorry, I really am. But Nick didn't want this to happen to you! He's confused now! I think he had amnesia or something. If he goes out there, he could get hurt!" Amy considered for a moment, then turned Calvin away. "Get out of my room! I hope that asshole drops dead!" She slammed the door, leaving Calvin standing there. "I guess that only leaves me...hang on Nick, I'm coming!"

Chapter 56
Chapter 56: The man who had taken care of Derek for years woke up to quite a shock. The sky was a purpleish color, and blue lighting struck around the city. There also seemed to be a whirlpool in the sky above, and the wind was picking up. "No...it can't be...I have to get Derek back now! I can't let this happen again!" He opened a desk drawer and stuffed a letter he had received years ago into the boy's pocket and rushed him out. "Where are we going daddy?" Derek asked the man. "We're going on a little trip." He set the time machine and set it for the year 1995, 13 years before the infection had broken out. He kissed the boys forehead and injected a serum into the boys arm. He passed out, and soon, his memory was reset to what he the man wanted it to be. He set the timer and stepped back. The ball of electricity surrounded him and Derek vanished. "I hope you do a better job of saving them then I did." The man, the original Derek, pulled his hood off and a single tear slid down his cheek. His hand started to flicker. "It's almost time. I hope I didn't send my past self back too early." Then, something came to him. "Austin! I knew it was a mistake bringing him back here!" He bolted down the street. "I hope I'm not too late!"
"What do you think Nick?" Jake asked as they reached the familiar med lab. Nick suddenly knew why he had lured him down here. "Wait, you're the one that did this to me! No! Get away-" But Jake grabbed him and threw him against the wall. "I just need to finish tinkering with your mind Nick. This'll be over in a second..."
Jen gasped and sputtered as she pulled herself onto the solid concrete pathway. The sewer water had finally done it. It had permanantly snapped her out of her murderous rampage and destroyed Jake's control over her. But her freedom had cost someone his life. She didn't know the man, but she felt bad. A good sign that her emotions were coming back to her. She had to get out of here and find her friends. Derek...he was all she had left...she didn't know how long it had been, but she headed down a nearby tunnel, hoping it would lead her home.

Chapter 55
Chapter 55: It took a few months, but Austin finally readjusted to life in the future. He soon met a girl named Beth, and they quickly hit it off. Soon, they were engaged, and after 2 years of being married, they had a child named Joeseph. The effect of time travel causes the traveler to slowly lose memory of having been to a different time period. That's exactly what happened to Austin. He didn't remember Nick or Amy or Derek or anything from the years he had been in the past. All he knew now was his family.
It had been almost four years since Austin and Derek had come to the future, and Derek was now a 7 year old boy. He was very playful, and after a little brain tapping, he had completely forgotten about his previous life. This was nessecary for the plan to carry out. He couldn't have Derek holding back at all. The man who had taken care of Derek like his own was almost ready for the final part of his plan to commence. He sighed and looked at the face of the boy. He knew what was going to happen too him, and the thought of it almost made him cry. Almost.
"Are you okay Nick?" Calvin asked. "Wait...you know me too?" "Seriously, what is wrong with you?" Calvin got up and put a hand on Nick's forhead, which he quickly brushed away. "What the hell is wrong with you? Don't touch me!" "Nick I'm trying to-" "Hey, just back off okay?" Nick opened the front door and walked out, slamming it shut behind him.
Nick wandered the streets for some time before he was approached by a large man that smelled strongly of sewage. "Um, can I help you?" Nick asked. "Nick, I know what your going through. Come with me and I can make it all better." "Thanks but no thanks. I think I can figure this out on my own." The man stepped in front of him. "Please, I insist." The guy looked serious, so Nick followed him to the manhole cover in the street. "Um...can I at least know your name?" "My name?" the man replied. "Sure. It's Jake, but you can just call me, the Master." The Master? This guy had some serious issues. Whatever the case, Nick felt he had to follow him to find out who he really was.

Chapter 54
Chapter 54: Calvin limped down the narrow walk alongside the sewer tunnel. He couldn't believe what had happened. Casey was dead. How would he tell Amy? He finally reached the end of the tunnel, in the room where he and Casey were attacked by Jake only a few minutes earlier. Now it seemed like ages. He slowly ascended the ladder up to the surface, pushing aside the manhole cover and rising into the sunlight.
Amy and Nick searched the dome for hours, with no sign of Calvin, Casey, or Derek. Amy was in tears, and soon, they stopped the search for the night. They had enlisted the help of the same police force that had found Austin, and they assured her that they would search all night and call her at any sign of her family. They finally arrived home to see Calvin asleep on the couch. He woke up when the door slammed shut and he was immedeately embraced by Amy, but she quickly pulled back. "Calvin, you stink! It smells like you've been wallowing around in the sewers!" "I have." he replied. He quickly recounted the story of what had happened down there. "So it was Jake all along..." Amy said after he had finished. "Wait, do you know where my husband or my son is?" Calvin hung his head. "Amy...I'm sorry...we ran into that murderer down there and she...killed Casey." Amy couldn't believe it. Her husband was dead. She broke down and ran into her bedroom, slamming the door behind her. Once she was gone, Calvin turned to Nick. "Say, where's your brother?" "Brother?" Nick replied. "I have a brother?"

Chapter 53
Chapter 53: Austin felt the familiar feeling of being stretched to the point of breaking, the bright lights were flashing in his eyes again. It had been so long since he had experienced this...then it was over, and he was home. He looked around at the gleaming buildings and bustling skyways. A hovercar flew overhead. "Ah...looks like 2054 hasn't changed much since I've been gone." "Of course it hasn't." The masked man replied, Derek still asleep in his arms. "I've taken you back to the exact point you left from. Look at yourself." Austin walked over to a skyscraper and examined himself in the glass. He was 7 years younger than he had been in 2015, the exact age he had been when he arrived in 2008. "Wow!" "Now if you'll excuse me," the man started. "I have some buissness to take care of with this baby." Austin wasn't paying any attention, he was too busy looking at himself in the glass. The man sighed and vanished down an alley.
"Wait!" Nick called as he caught a glipse of the woman who had talked to him before. "What do you want?" she replied. "Look, I'm sorry I was so mean to you before. I'm just a little...confused right now. I woke up in this lab, I have stitches on the back of my head, and I have no idea where or who I am. I guess I just took it out on you." Amy looked dumbfounded. "You expect me to believe that you have amnesia?" "Um...yeah." Amy looked insulted now, and she turned and started to walk away. "No wait!" Nick called. "Look!" He pulled back his hair and showed her the stitches. Amy gasped. "S-so you really don't remember who I am?" "Not a clue." "Then this is all the more reason we have to find Casey and Calvin! Come on!" She grabbed his hand and they bolted down the street.

Chapter 52
Chapter 52: Nick slowly awoke. He rose from the metal table he was lying on and got to the ground. There was an odd numbing feeling coming from the back of his head, and he felt it. About a dozen stitches ran up and down the back of his skull. He had to get out of here. He didn't know why, but for some reason, this place gave him the creeps. He headed up the stairs and and stumbled around for a while before finding the ladder that would lead up to the surface. He pushed the manhole cover aside and climbed into the sunlight (what little sunlight the dome would let in of course). Nick wandered around for a while before he finally found a bench to sit on, which he did. All of this seemed new to Nick...and just as he was getting comfortable, a hysterical woman ran up to him. "Nick! Nick, thank god! Come on! Derek's been kidnapped! You have to help me!" Amy tugged on Nick's arm, but he didn't budge. "Do I know you?" he asked. "Nick don't-wait, is this about what we did before?! That doesn't matter right now Nick! Derek's in trouble!" Nick shrugged her off and started down the sidewalk. "Nick!" "Look," he shouted back to her. "I don't know you, I don't want to know you, and I have no idea who this Nick guy is, so leave me alone!" Amy almost broke down right there. "Fine!" she shouted. "I guess I'll have to find my son and my husband on my own!" Once Amy had left, Nick calmed down a bit. "The nerve of some people!" he said to himself. "I don't know who she is! But she seemed to know a lot about me..." Nick stopped walking and turned back to where he had last seen Amy. "Maybe I should help her though...she shouldn't be wandering around the city on her own." He ran down the sidewalk, thinking where she might have gone.

Chapter 51
Chapter 51: "Ugh..." Calvin moaned. He slowly got up and looked around the dark tunnel he had collapsed in. "Whoa, where am I?" He seemed to be hearing ringing noises coming from somewhere. He looked at his feet and saw Casey's phone. The caller ID read: Amy. "Amy?" He asked as he answered. "Calvin? What are you doing with Casey's phone?" "Um...I don't know. I think he dropped it." "Dropped it?! Well where is he?" "Um...I don't know..."
Little did he know, Jen and Casey had plummeted over the waterfall. Casey hung on with one hand while Jen clutched Casey's leg. The water had once again snapped her out of her trance and she was screaming her lungs out. "Woah! The murderer's a chick?!" "Murderer?! What are you talking about?!" Jen replied. As the water hurtled over the falls, some of it hit Jen, knocking her hood off and causing her to slide further down Casey's leg. Unfortunately, Casey didn't recognize her, as they had never met. He shook his leg attempting to kick her off. "No! Please!" Tears were running down her face, and Casey just couldn't bring himself to do it. He grabbed her hand and helped her up onto the ledge. Then she helped him up after him. She leaned into his ear and whispered, "Never trust a murderer." She plunged her knives into Casey's stomach and pushed him over the edge just as Calvin arrived behind her. She turned to face him. "Now its your turn!"

Chapter 50
Chapter 50: Nick pressed his ear up against the door, desperate to hear what was going on on the other side. Jen sat on the bed. "Nick, what's happening out there?" "I don't know. I think someone's fighting." Suddenly, something hit the door so hard that Nick flew back and smashed his head on the foot of the bed. "Nick!" Jen shouted. She knelt at his side, trying desperately to wake him up.
Meanwhile, Calvin also layed unconcious on the other side of the door where Jake had thrown him. At the same time, Casey was being held in the air by his throat. "I told myself I'd never do this, but..." That was all Casey thought as he kicked Jake in the crotch. He immedeately released him and collapsed to the ground. Casey ran over to Calvin and helped him up. "Come on buddy, I'm getting you out of here."
"Please! Somebody help me!" Jen shouted. She pounded on the door and finally suceeded in opening it. What she saw on the other side was the master lying in a fetal position clutching his groin and two men running down the sewer tunnel. From the floor, Jake managed to mumble. "A-after them!" Suddenly, Jen's mind was overridden and her knives extended from her fingers. She burst down the tunnel, leaving Nick, unconcious and bleeding to death, lying in the bedroom.
Austin finally reached the park on the outskirts of the city, Derek still asleep in his arms. "Where is he?" Austin mumbled to himself. Suddenly, there was a blinding flash of blue light, and a cloaked man appeared in the bushes. He brushed himself off and approached Austin and the baby. "I didn't think you were actually going to go through with this." "Neither did I." Austin replied. He handed Derek over to the stranger. "Please...take care of him..." "I will. You know that I have no choice in the matter." The man stepped back. "Would you like to come back with me?" Austin hesitated. Should he go back to his home? He had a realitivley good life here. And then he remembered: he should be missing a tongue, and, he'd automatically be blamed for Derek's disappearence. "Yes. I will come back with you." The man smiled. "Good. Now step over here." Austin complied, then, they were gone.
Amy stretched her arms above her head and looked to her alarm clock. 4 AM. Casey and Calvin still weren't home yet. Well, as long as she was up, she might as well get Derek his bottle. She got off the bed and went to the refrigorator. "At least he didn't wake me up. First time I've gotten a somewhat decent sleep in weeks." She opened the door to his room and saw his bed empty and his window opened. The bottle slipped out of her hand and shattered on the floor.
Jake layed on the floor for a while before finally gathering enough strength to get up. The first thing he saw however, was Nick, lying in a pool of his own blood. Jake gasped and lifted him off the ground, careful to support his head. He carried him down further into the med lab. "You can't die on me yet. I'm not finished with you." He gently layed him down on the table and got to work.
Casey was having a hard time running down the tunnel and supporting Calvin at the same time. "Come on buddy! Wake up!" He heard someone behind him and turned to see the knived murderer running down the tunnel. He tried to run, but she was too quick. She tackled him and they rolled into the sewage water below, Calvin slowly sliding down the wall above them. They soon came up for air, just in time to see a waterfall that lead down to the sewage treatment plant.

Chapter 49
Chapter 49"Wait, do you hear something?" Jen asked Nick. Nick sighed. "No, I don't hear anything, now lets just-"No...there's someone out there..." "Oh for the love of god!" Nick pushed Jen off him, pulled his pants back on, and went up to the door.
On the other side, Jake had just smashed into the wall with his fist. The stones cracked from the force of the punch. Calvin and Casey doged to opposite sides of him and tried to get to him, but he swatted Calvin aside like a rag doll, causing him to smash painfully against the wall. He hit so hard in fact that he completely blacked out. Casey meanwhile, was still trying to avoid the punches. "Calvin!" he called out. That minor hesitation was all Jake needed. He grabbed Casey by the throat and held him above his head. Casey felt as if his eyes would burst....

Chapter 48
Chapter 48: "I know who kidnapped Austin." Casey said. "What? Who?!" Calvin exclaimed. "Isn't it obvious?" Amy and Calvin still looked dumbfounded. Casey sight. "Okay, Calvin, come with me. Amy, you stay with Austin until he wakes up." As they turned to leave, Casey turned back. "And don't have sex with him." Amy's face turned crimson and she went back to her bedroom.
Jen...the name was familiar, but in his clouded state, Nick didn't recognize it whatsoever. Suddenly, Jen got an odd look on her face, like she was snapping out of a trance. She shook her head and leaned against a wall. "W-what? Where am I?" While she was distracted, the 'master' injected a serum into her wrist. She quickly turned back into the knived woman. "What is it you require of me master?" He smiled. "You and Nick have the same blood type. It's very unique. I need a child with that blood type, which is why I need you two to mate." Jen looked shocked, but Nick still had the same blank look on his face. "What? Mate?! With all due respect master, you can't be serious!" "Oh but I am. You're going to have sex, and you're going to like it." The 'master' pressed a button and a bed extended out of the wall. He left the room and shut the door behind him. "You kids have fun."
"This way!" Casey called. They walked to the middle of the street and lifted up the manhole cover. "The sewers?" "I have a hunch. Trust me."
They reached the end of the tunnel to see a large steel door to their left. From inside they could hear creaking and moaning. "It sounds like someone's gettin it on in there!" Calvin said. "Can I help you two?" A voice from behind them asked. Suddenly, they were yanked off thier feet and thrown against the hard stone wall. The man in front of them cracked his knuckles. "It's been awhile hasen't it?" Casey asked. "What the hell are you talking about?" Calvin exclaimed. "What, you don't recognize him? True, he has built up a lot of muscle, but he's still the Jake we know and love!" The master's face fell. "How did you know?" "Lucky guess I suppose!" Casey replied. "Well enjoy it, cause your luck is about to run out!"
Amy was sleeping soundly when Austin crept into her son's bedroom. Derek lay in his bed, sucking his thumb. "I'm sorry little bud, but I didn't pretend to have my tongue cut out for nothing!" he whispered. He lifted Derek over his shoulder and climbed out the bedroom window, his curtains still fluttering in the light breeze.

Chapter 47
Chapter 47: When Nick awoke, he was in a dark dark room that smelled strongly of urine. He got up and put a hand to his throbbing head, then felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. It felt like he had been stabbed...But before he could finish his thought, the door in front of him opened. It was the woman from before. As soon as he saw her, his mind went blank of all other thoughts except to obey the woman in front of him. "Hello Nick." she said. "I'm going to need you to go see the master, can you do that for me?" "Yes your greatness." Nick replied. "Thank you." she said giving him a peck on the cheek. Nick left the cell and then his brain went on autopilot. He had to find the master...
Nick's knock seemed to echo throughout the whole sewer. A deep, gravely voice answered from within. "Enter." So Nick did. "Shut the door behind you." So he did. "Are you willing to serve me, your master, for all of eternity?" "I am your humble servant master." "Good." The master rose from his chair and stepped out of the shadows. "Very good." There was another knock, and after the master said his usual come in, the knife woman entered. But there was something different about her....she didn't have her hood up..."You summoned me master?" "Yes. I believe you've already met our guest." "Yes master, I injected him with the mind control serum." "No. You've met him before. Seven years ago. Isn't that right, Jennifer?

Chapter 46
Chapter 46: Nick couldn't believe it. He had slept with his best friends wife! What the hell had come over him? He sighed and continued to walk. He heard a soft, melodical voice drift from an alley. "Hey big boy. What's the matter?" A hooded woman stepped out from the shadows. "It's nothing." "Oh I'm sure that's not it. Do you want me to help? I can make all your problems go away." Suddenly, Nick realized something. "So you're a...prostitute? They have prostitutes in New Washington?" "NO I'M NOT A FUCKING-I mean, sorry honey, no." The woman walked over to Nick and started to stroke his cheek. "What I give is free." She planted a kiss right on Nick's lips, and oddly, Nick enjoyed it. That feeling only lasted a minuted as waves of pain shot through his body. The woman had extended a knife from her finger and plunged it into Nick's abdomen. His brain went numb, and he lost all thought. "That's right Nick, go to sleep. Go to sleep and dream about the master..."
"Don't tell me to calm down!" Casey shouted. "I just caught my best friend sleeping with my wife! I'm not calming down!" "Casey, you didn't even let him explain himself." Calvin protested. "He doesn't need to! I was there and I saw what they were doing!" "Casey..." Amy approached her husband. "Amy, I'm really not in the mood for-" "It was my fault." she said. Both Casey and Calvin looked at her in shock. "What?" "I forced myself onto him. He was trying to get away..." "He was trying to..." Casey suddenly realized something. "I know who did it." "Did what?" Calvin asked. "I know who kidnapped Austin."

Chapter 45
Chapter 45: Nick collapsed next to Amy on the bed. "Oh my god Nick..." she breathed. "That was amazing..." "Thanks." he replied. "No, thank you." She got on top of him and kissed him again, but Nick pushed her away and got out of the bed. "What is it?" "What do you mean what is it? You're my best friends wife and I just had sex with you!" "Oh, Casey will never find out. Besides, you gave me what he never could." "No. No, no, no, no, no. This is wrong. Completely wrong." Nick pulled on his pants and his shirt before walking out of the room. Or at least, trying, as Amy grabbed his arm and threw him onto the bed. "Amy, I don't want to have to hurt you!" She uzipped his pants and leaned in to kiss him. Suddenly, they heard a cough from behind them. There in the doorway, stood Casey. Amy practically lept of Nick and fell backwards onto the floor. "Well, well well." Casey said. "You think you know a guy." "Wait. Casey I can-" But before Nick could defend himself, Casey punched him in the face. Nick fell to the ground and put his hand to his mouth. He spit a tooth out, then felt Casey kick him in the face. "You feel that?" Suddenly, Calvin grabbed Casey behind the arms. "Nick, get out of here!" "LET ME GO! I'M GONNA KILL THAT SON OF A BITCH!" As Nick ran, he realized that his life, would never be the same...
Chapter 44
Chapter 44: Casey was just finishing cleaning by taking the sword out of the fireplace when there was a knock at the door. He opened it to see Calvin and Nick supporting Austin. "Calvin?! Your back! And you found Austin!" "Yeah, but he a little tired at the moment." Calvin replied. "I don't blame him." "We need a favor." Nick said. "What's that?" "Well, we're trying to find the guy who did this." He opened Austin's mouth to reveal what was no longer there. "I'd love to help, but I have a family to take care of guys." "I have an idea. Nick, why don't you stay here?" Calvin said much to the other's shock. "What? Why?" "Because you're tired. You'd be no help to us in this condition. You almost fell asleep on the way here!" "But I-" "I think he's right." Casey said. "Fine." Nick said angrily. "Have fun finding the guy who hurt MY brother." They left without another word.
He didn't want to agree with them, but Calvin and Casey were right. He was tired. He walked around the house looking for a place to crash. The couch was out because it was extremely uncomfortable, like someone had been fighting on it. "There was only one other bed in the house, and that one was occupied my Amy. Nick walked into the master bedroom and saw her sleeping peacefully. He sighed and walked up to the bed. He knew he shouldn't, but he was just so tired...he had to sleep somewhere. So he quietly slipped under the covers next to Amy who continued to sleep. A few minutes later she rolled over and draped her arm around his shoulder. "Oh Casey..." she moaned in her sleep. Nick eased her arm off him than tried to go back to sleep. A moment later, he was awakened again by a hand grabbing his ass. He practically lept out of bed. He was going to leave the room when he realized something. He was actually gettin aroused at the thought of having sex with his best friends wife. No! He had to stop thinking these thoughts! It wasn't healthy! If Casey caught them...But in his mind, the pros definately outweighed the cons. He crept back to the bed as silently as he could and turned so he was face to face with Amy's sleeping body. He reached under the blanket and brought her hand up to his crotch. She obliged and squeezed him through the material of his jeans. A wave of pleasure burst throught him. This night might not turn out so bad after all...

Chapter 43
Chapter 43: The bullets flew by Nick's head as he took cover behind his bed with his unconcious brother at his side. "Casey! Who the hell are these guys?!" "They're the guys that kidnapped your brother." Casey called back while still firing at them. Nick reached under his bed and pulled out a metal case. Inside was his shotgun. He pulled it out and brushed off the dust collecting on the barrel. "Been a while." Something was stuck on the butt of the gun. He peeled it off and saw that it was an old photo from his military days. He was standing with his arm around his former best friend Zack. His Golden Retriever Terry sat at his side. Now, both of them were dead. Terry had been zombified and Zack had betrayed him and been killed by his own father. He tore the picture in two and threw it behind him as he loaded the shotgun and prepared to fight.
The creature that had attacked Amy lept from rooftop to rooftop, than stopped, lept from the skyline and landed in the street. It walked over to a manhole cover, lited it, and dissapeared into the sewers.
They were completely outnumbered. There were probably 10 guys and since Austin was unconcious, there were only two of them. Still, they managed to bet back over half of them. One of Casey's bullets hit one of them in the leg and he fell to the ground. "Wait! Stop shooting!" His men complied, and Nick got out from behind the bed. "Careful Nick..." Casey warned. "I'm not worried as long as you got my back." Casey smiled, but quickly pointed his gun at the remaining 3 men. The one on the floor, probably their leader, was wincing in pain as Nick crouched down by him. "Now, why did you kidnap my brother?" He didn't answer, but a wave of pain shot through his body as Nick dug his knife into the bullet wound on his ankle. "Okay okay!" He sucked air through his teeth and clutched his ankle like a child clutched a doll. "We're only mercinaries! We were doing what we were payed to do!" "Who payed you?" "I can't tell you! He'd kill me!" Casey spoke up from the corner. "And what makes you think we won't?" The man seemed to be thinking. "Fine. His name is J-" One of his own men blew a hole in his head. His blood splattered everywhere. Casey shot the guy while the other two ran for it. Nick got up and wiped the blood off on a paper towel. "Damn...that guy was our big lead..." "I can't beleive that he did that...he must be really loyal to the big boss." "Yeah..." Casey put his hand on Nick's shoulder. "We'll find him Nick. And we'll show him that karma can be a real bitch."

Chapter 42
Chapter 42: Amy went flying back from her attacker's blow, slamming into the wall. Jolts of pain shot through her body. Her sword flew to her left and the assailent picked it up and easily bent the hilt into a knot, than casually tossed it behind its shoulder landing it in the fireplace. "No...please..." Tears were welling up in Amy's eyes. Suddenly, the attacker screeched like a dieing animal and turned around. Casey stood in the door way, his gun still smoking. "Step away from my wife. Now." The attacker hissed and ran with inhuman speed past Casey. "Casey..." Amy ran into her husband's arms than opened the closet door. Derek still lay there, sound asleep. She picked him up. "We'll talk in the morning honey." Casey said to her. "I'll clean up around here. You and D get to bed." "All right...Oh! Did you find any sign of Austin?" "No...we searched for hours but there was no sign of him. We're going to start searching again in the morning." Casey picked the door up from the floor and put it up against the frame again. Amy sighed. "Good night Casey."
"I can't believe it! Calvin! I didn't know you were even still alive!" Nick exclaimed. "And you found my brother! You don't know how much this means to me. Austin, are you all right?" "Um, yeah...about that..." Calvin started. "What? What did they do to him?" "They kind of cut out his toungue..." "WHAT?!" Nick forced open his brother's mouth and nearly gagged at what he saw. "Oh my god!" There was a crash from downstairs. "Shit...looks like they followed me here..." "Who?" Nick's question was answered as a rain of bullets peirced through the walls. "Holy shit!" Nick, still supporting Austin, dove behind his bed while Calvin took cover behind the kitchen counter. He drew two pistols from his pockets. "You might want to take cover Nick, this is going to get a little messy."

Chapter 41
Chapter 41: Amy was waiting up with her son Derek for Casey. Well, she was waiting up. Derek was sound asleep. Suddenly, she heard footsteps coming up the stairs. She ran up to the door, expecting to see her husband, but then the door was kicked of its hinges. It smashed into her and she went flying back against the wall. Standing in the doorway was a cloaked figure...with knives extenting from its hands. "Oh my god...that's the killer..." Amy choked. The figure moved its eyes from Amy to her still sleeping son. "No...NO!" The killer was quick, but she was quicker. She slid on the couch grabbing Derek as she went. The killer swong a knived hand at her and destroyed the coffe table. Amy bolted and put Derek in a closet before turning to face her assailant. She went to their coat of arms hanging over the fireplace and drew one of the two swords hanging there. The killer charged and there was a clash of steel as thieir blades met.
Austin had finally falled asleep when he felt someone struggling with his binds. He was helped to his feet by strong, muscular arms. "It's all right Austin." A familiar voice said. "You're going to be fine."
Nick heard his front door open and ran down to the hall, shotgun drawn. Standing in the doorway, was his brother, being supported by Calvin. "Hey guys. Looks like I can't leave you alone for a minute can I?"

Chapter 40
Chapter 40: Austin woke up in the middle of a dark room. He soon found that he was tied to a pole and his mouth was taped. He wrestled againt the binds which only made them cut into his wrists more. "Hey, I think our prisoner's awake!" He felt hot breath against his neck. "How you doing Austin? Oh wait, that's right, you can't tell us can you?" He tore the tape of his mouth so hard that he was sure he had torn his lips off with it. Austin tried to speak, but couldn't. Then he realized, "Oh my god...they cut out my tongue!" He heard someone laugh beside him. "Looks like he finally figured it out." Austin suddenly felt cold steel against his neck. The murderer's claws. "We're going to have lots of fun with you."
Nick couldn't sleep for days. His brother was gone, kidnapped and being held somewhere. What would they do to him? Would they torture him? Would they just flat out kill him? No, he had to stay positive. They would find him. He knew they would.
Casey called the Cheif of Police for the 14th time that day. "Anything yet?" "Don't worry Casey, if we find any sign of Houston, then you'll be the first to know." "Thank you, oh and his name is Austin." "Right. Whatever." Then the line clicked. "How's the search going honey?" Amy asked from the bed. "Not good, and it's all my fault that Austin's gone...if I hadn't sent them out there..." "But they had to go out there to catch that killer!" Another wave of guilt washed over him. "The killer's still out there somewhere! That's it." He grabbed his jacket from the closet and started towards the door. "Casey, where are you going?" "I'm going to help them find Austin." And he left without another word.

Chapter 39
Chapter 39: That night, Nick and Austin decided to camp out at two different points, the spots with the murders had occured the most. Nick was stationed at the point where the guard was murdered the previous night while Austin took a spot in an alley between two fast food joints. They were to keep in touch by walkie-talkies. "Anything yet?" Austin radioed to his brother. "Nope. You?" "Wait, hang on." Austin drew his gun and ducked behind a dumpster. A shadowy figure was walking down the alley. A door behind the dumpster opened and a man stepped out. The figure blocked his way. The man lept back and bolted to the end of the alley and the figure followed. Knives extended from its hands. Austin lept from his hiding place and pointed his gun at the murderer's head. "Freeze! I'm placing you under arrest for the murders of-" Before he could finish, the man who had come out of the door ran up to Austin, tackleing him. His gun slid across the ground and the knived man smashed it under his foot. "Sorry bud," the man said to Austin. "It's just buisness." Than Austin blacked out.
It was 3 AM when Amy burst into Casey's office. "Amy? Are you all right?" "I'm fine Casey, but it's not me that we should be worried about." "What is it?" "Nick just called me. Austin's been kidnapped."

Chapter III
Chapter III: "Wait, slow down Bob, what did you say?" Rene asked her panicing brother. "THE GATE HAS BEEN BREACHED! THE ZOMBIES ARE IN THE FORT!" Rick lept out of bed, putting his pants on over his hospital gown. "Woah Rick, you're not exactly in peak condition right now-" "Would you rather I lay here and die Dan?" "Well-" "Than zip it!"
The four of them ran down the stairs of the med lab and entered the corridor. Soldiers were gunning down zombies as best as they could, but they didn't seem to be doing very well. Their general ran up to Dan. "Soldier! What are you doing! We need all the help we can get!" "But-" But Dan was pulled away from the others. Meanwhile, another soldeir ushered Rick, Bob, and Rene along to another hallway. Rick was trying to elbow past him. "I want to help!" "You're on medical leave. We can't let you. Head injury." "I'm fine! I have to help my friend!" "We'll take good care of him." He pushed the three of them into a dimly lit hallway and slammed the door shut.

Chapter 38
Chapter 38: Casey yawned and stretched as he walked into his living room. His wife Amy was watching the news on the couch while their son played with his blocks on the floor. "Casey, have you heard about the murders?" Amy asked. "No I haven't. You think there's zombies involved?" "I doubt it. The dome is still holding strong." "I'll send Nick and Austin in to check it out." "Good idea. They haven't seen any real action in months!"
A few months after arriving in New Washington, Nick and Austin had set up a Private Investigator service. Amy was right, the last few cases they had gotten had been nothing more than a simple robbery. That's why Austin got excited when he picked up the phone and heard Casey on the other end. "How's buissness?" he asked. "Pretty slow now, but I'm guessing you have a case for us?" "I certainly do. Do you guys watch the news?"
The man walked over the hill, finally seeing his destination. The huge dome city of New Washington loomed in the distance. "At last." He hitched his cloak over his sholders and walked a bit faster.

Infection: Chapter 37
Chapter 37: The guard whistled to himself as he wandered around the inner edge of the dome surrounding New Washington. Outside, the zombies were pulling their usual routine of banging on the glass, moaning, blah, blah, blah. The guard's name was Nate, and he didn't understand why he had to patrol like this. Its not like anyone would ever get in. Than, he heard someone call his name. "Nathan..." He turned around but nobody was there. "Who's there?" He spun around, but still nothing. "Fuck it, I'm going back to the guardhouse." "Nathan..." "WHO'S THERE?!" He pulled out his pistol and pivoted a few times. He was losing it...too much time in the dome. Suddenly, something was standing right in front of him. It was so close that he bumped into it. The thing in question was wearing a dark red cloak riddled with holes. "Nathan..." It called. "I need you Nathan..." Claws at least six feet long and a foot thick shot from the sleeves of the cloak. The creature impaled Nathan and lifted him above its head. The last thing Nathan saw was his own blood pouring out of his mouth, nose, and eyes, than nothing....

Chapter 2
Chapter 2: The woman had been wandering down the same road for days now. The whole time she kept her head shrouded in darkness. She walked, and she kept walking untill she saw what she was looking for. The fort on the horizon. For the first time in years, a smile crept across her face. She advanced.
Rick bolted up in his bed. The morning sun streamed in through the window. "You okay buddy?" Dan asked from the next bunk. "Y-yeah. I'm fine." He got out of bed and stretched. "You going to breakfast Rick?" "Um...yeah. I'll be there in a little while. Save me a seat!" "Will do!" Rick stepped into the bathroom and undressed for his shower. He turned on the water and was just starting to wash his hair when he saw that someone was in the shower with him. He screamed and slipped on the soap, banging his head against the faucet. The woman stood over him and smirked. Than she vanished.
The next time Rick opened his eyes, he was in the med lab. He sat up which caused pain to shoot through his head. "Rick, you're awake." Rick suddenly realized that Rene was standing by his bedside. Dan sat a little was away from her. "How long have I been out?" Rick asked. "About 12 hours." Dan replied. "Yeesh...I guess I'm too late for breakfast than..." An sound like an explosion got their attention. A man burst through the door. "Rene! Thank god I found you!" The man exclaimed. "Rene, we have to get out of here!" "Woah, calm down little bro, what's wrong?" "What's wrong? I'll tell you what's wrong: The gate has been breached!"

Quarrintine: Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Rick polished his sniper rifle and looked through the sight at the feild beyone their fort. "Hmmm. Looks pretty good." "What looks pretty good?" His buddy Dan asked. "Have you been paying attention for the last few hours?" "Um...no." Rick sighed. A shout from above caught his attention. "Rick, Dan! Look sharp! Infected incoming!" The lookout Rene called out from above. They got their guns ready as at least three dozen zombies charged towards the base. The three of them fired into the crowd and eventually, the zombies lay dead. "Yeah! That's what I'm talkin bout!" Rick exclaimed giving Dan a high five.
Rene leaned against the pole at the top of the lookout tower. This was a slow week. Only three zombie attacks. Still, they were running low on supplies. They had to reach New Washington soon or they would be starved out. Unfortunately, nobody wanted to go. They all felt it was safer inside the fort. Oh how wrong they were. This was proven later that night.

The Final Chapter
Chapter 36: The mini monsters completely blocked Amy and Reaper from the others. Derek was about to help when he started to shrink. He kept going untill he was normal sized once more. "A-Amy?" "Derek! You're back to normal!" "Yeah," Reaper said. "Unfortunately, that's not going to help us much." Suddenly, the humvee plowed through the crowd and Nick, Austin, Scythe, Casey, Calvin, and Jake lept out. Casey and Scythe tossed Amy and Derek guns. "What the hell are you doing here?" Reaper exclaimed. "If we're going to die," Scythe said cocking her gun. "Then we're going to die together!" The monsters attacked and the fight began. Calvin threw a grenade into the crowd and the explosion killed a few dozen of them. Amy and Scythe were back to back, shooting away. Casey and Reaper had swords and were hacking away at the line of monsters. Derek and Jake were using miniguns and slicing through the crowd. Nick and Austin were in a seperate circle and holding the monsters off as best as they could. "Nick, if we don't make it out of this-" "Don't talk like that Austin. I haven't seen you in years and I'm not going to lose you again!" Amy was grabbed by a monster and pulled away. She was save though as Derek knocked the tentecles around her away and pulled her back. "Amy, I know I haven't exactly been there for you, but-" Amy cut him off with a kiss. "I understand Derek, and I forgive you, but can we talk about this later?" "YEAH! WHAT SHE SAID!" Jake shouted. "Sorry Jake! Hang on!" Derek replied. Reaper and Casey seemed to be doing the best as tentecles and monster peices flew everywhere. "You're pretty good at this." Reaper grunted as he sliced a monster down the middle. "You're not bad yourself." There was a scream, and Reaper turned to see Scythe gettin pulled into the crowd. "Scythe! NO!" He took off with Casey right behind him. Calvin was having a tough time as the monsters overwhelmed him. "Ugh...can't-do-this-much-longer!" A tentecle suddenly wrapped around his neck and he was raised into the air. It quickly relinquished its grip however, as Casey pulled him away. "Scythe! SCYTHE!" Reaper was trying to reach his partner, but it was too late as he saw Scythe's body torn apart and devoured. "NOOOOO!!!!! YOU FUCKING BASTARDS!" Reaper went psycho as he slashed away at the monsters. Finally, a tentecle peirced his rip cage. "Damn..." He collapsed dead. There were so many casualties, but the battle raged on. Finally, a terrible cry ripped through the dusk as Derek held Jake's lifeless body in his arms. His rage boiled over and he attacked the monsters untill he couldn't move another muscle. After hours of fighting, the monsters finally lay dead. Among them were the bodies of Jake, Reaper, Scythe, and finally, Derek. Amy knelt weeping by his body. "The toxins never left his bloodstream. They poisoned him. I killed him." She sobbed into his chest. Casey put a hand on her shoulder and helped her up. "It's getting dark." Austin began. "We should get going. We're not strong enough to take on anymore zombies." With tears still in her eyes, Amy limped to the humvee and got inside. Nick remained on the battlefeild. "Nick, you coming?" Calvin asked. "So much bloodshed...I-I'm on my way Calvin. He got into the humvee along with Amy, Calvin, Austin, and Casey, the last survivors. "Since there is no shelter, I guess we'll just have to-" But Casey never got to finish his sentence. The missle hit first.
7 years later..."Welcome to...The Dome!" The president said. He pulled a cord and a giant curtain fell off a huge glass dome that surrounded the city of New Washington, the last remaining city in the western hemisphere. "While we work on reconstruction, the remaining 10,000 citizens of the United States will live in peace here in New Washington!" "It's everything I dreamed of." Amy said with tears in her eyes. Her husband Casey put his arm around her. "It's everythin we dreamed of." He replied. "And let's not forget to thank Mr and Mrs Lovegood! If it were'nt for them, none of this would have been possible!" Casey and Amy's 3 year old son Derek stood next to his mother, waving to the crowd. "Wow. Do you think after all these years we'll finally have a home to go to?" Nick asked his brother. "I think so little bro." Austin replyed. "It's been so long, hasn't it?" Calvin said. "Yeah," Nick replied. "But its over. Its finally over."
About a hundred miles away in a labrotory deep underground, a team of scientists worked round the clock. "How's she doing?" Jake asked the lead scientist. "Realitivly fine. She's stable." "When will she be ready?" "I'd say a month, maybe two." "Good. Very good. I didn't fake my death just so my plans wouldn't work." Jake stared into the tube at Jen's lifeless face. "I've been planning this for so long. So long. Ever since my father told me about you. About your blood that contains the cure. Once I revive you and combine your blood with my toxins, then you can wipe the Earth of every one of thoses pitiful people...FOREVER!" Jake's laughter filled the cave.

Chapter 35
Chapter 35: McNabb and Reper watched the humvee dissapear into the distance. When it was gone, Reaper took of running towards Hayes and started to CLIMB HIM?!?! "Reaper! What the hell are you doing?!" But McNabb didn't wait for an answer. He took off toward the skyscraper and caught Amy just before she hit the ground. McNabb had just called the humvee back when he heard the sound of a shotgun pumping. "Z-Zack...killing people won't solve anything..." Amy started. "SHUT UP! You betrayed the family you lieing miserable-" There was then an explosion from high in the air. When they looked up, they saw that half of Hayes' face was missing. Reaper lept from Hayes' shoulder and Derek caught him and set him on the ground. Hayes toppled to the ground. "Amy!" McNabb shouted. He grabbed her arm and pulled her back just as Hayes landed on Zack, causing him to pull the trigger. McNabb got the full force of the shot, and he died instantly. "McNabb!" Reaper shouted. Suddenly, Amy screamed. Hayes' body was breaking apart into hundreds of mini monsters. They were the same size as a regular human. "Shit." Reaper exclaimed.
"What are you doing?" Jake asked as Austin swerved around and started to head back to the city. "You heard McNabb, he found Amy! We have to help her!" "We have to get out of here while we still can!" Calvin replied. "No." Nick said. "We're helping Amy and that's final." None of them were prepared for what they saw. Hundreds of monsters surrounded the city. "Oh shit." was all Scythe could say.

Chapter 34
Chapter 34: Everyone gasped and screamed as Derek grew bigger and bigger. He smashed out of the house and tackled Hayes, knocking him to the ground. "We gotta clear out of here!" Austin shouted. "Everybody get to the humvee!" They took off, but Jake stopped. "Where's Amy?" "There's no time boy!" Scythe shouted. She grabbed Jake by the hand and pulled him out of the ruined building.
The monsters were fighting each other with all their might. Hayes swept his tail under Derek and he fell to the ground. He grabbed Hayes' foot and flipped him to his other side. Derek let out a roar as Hayes bit down on his neck.
"Move, move, move!" McNabb shouted. The humvee lay idle in the middle of the street. Everyone except McNabb and Reaper got on. "Reaper, what are you doing?" Scythe shouted. "Saving your ass." he replied. "McNabb..." Casey started. "Don't turn into a pussy on me now boy!" McNabb shouted. "I need you to take care of these people!" "Sir yes sir!" "Thank you for everything Casey, now get out of there!" Austin started up the humvee and drove the seven of them off.
In the heat of battle, no one noticed Amy sneak away from the group and into the Hayes building. On the top floor, she met up with Zack. "I see that it worked." "Yes..." Amy replied. "You have regrets?" "Well, I love Derek. And I had finally gotten him to love me..." "Amy Hayes, you listen to me, our father is more important than anything else! You know that! Your letting your foolish emotions get in the way again!" "MY EMOTIONS ARE NOT FOOLISH!" Amy shouted. "I betrayed the only person that will ever love me. I hope your happy." "Sis, don't do this..." Zack started. "You know what Zack? FUCK YOU! Fuck you, fuck dad, fuck this whole stupid plan! And in case you didn't notice, IT'S NOT WORKING!" "What are you..." But Zack turned and saw it, what he hadn't realized before. "Wait...they're not supposed to be fighting each other...WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!?!?!" "I switched the toxins. Derek may be a monster, but he still has free will." "WHAT?!?!?!" "I've had it with all of you!" As Amy turned to leave, Zack grabbed her arm. "Get off of me!" She shook free and stumbled...right of the edge of the building. "Amy! NOOOOO!!!!!!!" All Amy thought of as she plummeted to her death, was Derek...all she could think about...was him...

Chapter 33
Chapter 33: Derek ran back and pulled Amy up. Together, they ran into the building with the others. The basement was crowded with 10 people inside, and Hayes was still stomping around upstairs. Amy pulled Derek into a closet and turned the light on. "Um...thanks for saving me Derek...espicially after everything I put you through..." "I had to save you Amy." He took her hands and looked into her tearstained eyes. "You mean so much to me." Amy sniffed. "Really? B-but you never paid attention to me...you were always going after Jen..." "I love you both Amy." "You mean it?" "I mean it." Then he leaned in, and kissed her. They're kiss lasted almost a minute before they broke apart. "Then it makes this so much worse." She stuck a needle into his arm and pushed down on the plunger. The toxins rushed through his bloodstream. "You-you bitch! You tricked me too!" "I'm sorry Derek, it had to be done." There was a crash from outside the closet, gunfire and screams followed. Derek burst out of the door, hobbling and swerving like he was drunk. Outside, the roof was gone and beams had fallen down. Hayes was still there, smashing everything like a doll house. The others were hiding, firing at the beast from afar, but Derek walked right up to it. He looked up into the beasts face and smiled. He could barely hear his friends yelling at him. A tentecle burst out of his back and knocked the monster back. His skin and clothes ripped apart as he rose higher and higher untill he was face to face with Hayes. It was time for the ultimate battle...
Chapter 32
Chapter 32: The monster attacked, and scattered eight of them. One of them was caught in its mouth, screams filled the air and blood flew everywhere as it spit out Bishop's bloody mauled torso. "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" McNabb screamed. He drew his shotgun and fired shell after shell into the beast. It didn't even flinch as it approached them. All of a sudden, the ground started to rumble. It collapsed, and the beast tumbled into the sewers below. When the dust cleared, two figures came out of the hole. One of them was Nick, leaning on the other who looked strangely like him. "Nick!" Derek exclaimed. He rushed forward and embraced him, causing Nick to shout in pain. "Sorry." "Watch the leg..." Nick said weakly. The others surrounded them. Jake spoke up. "Who's this guy?" "Well..."Nick started. "Guys, I'd like you to meet my big brother Austin." "Hey, what's up?" Austin said. "How did you find Nick?" "Well, its a funny story. You see-" Before Austin could continue, the monster rose, roaring and showering the group in drool. "DAMNIT! RETREAT!" McNabb shouted. As they fled into the surrounding buildings, Amy tripped on a peice of rubble. "Ow!' Amy screamed as she fell. "Derek!" The beast was getting closer. Derek turned. "Derek, come on!" Casey shouted. Derek looked into Amy's eyes and saw the tears running down her face. He made his decision, one he would regret forever...
Chapter 31
Chapter 31: Casey, Bishop, and McNabb stepped out from the van as well. Each had their guns ready. "Looks like you could use a hand or two." Reaper said. "Or five." Scythe said. Casey reached into the van and tossed Calvin and Jake guns. "Um...I'm 15..." Jake said. "Doesn't matter kid," Bishop said. "We need all the help we can get if we want to make it out of here alive. Then, the battle started. It lasted for almost 20 minutes before something happened. The zombies split the nine fighters up. Jake, Derek, and Amy one way, McNabb and Bishop another, and Calvin, Casey, Reaper, and Scythe the last. Derek got tackled by a zombie and he thought he was done for when Amy shot it off. "You can thank me later." She helped him to his feet and them along with Jake backed into a triangle.
McNabb and Bishop had their hands full as well. Bullet after bullet hit the ground, but the zombies kept getting closer and closer. "If this is where it ends, it was an honor fighting along side you." McNabb said to his Bishop. "Same here soldier, same here."
Calvin, Casey, Reaper, and Scythe had a small square to manuvere in, and since they had the most people, they were faring the best. Zombie after zombie dropped, and Reaper and Scythe were doing most of the killing. Finally, they heard the click that meant their last magazines were empty. "Shit!" Scythe exclaimed. All three groups thought they were dead, untill they saw a huge shadow drop out of the sky and land in the battlefeild. A huge monster, almost as tall as a skyscraper, stood there. It was black with huge black wings. Hundreds of tentecles swarmed around it. It let out a roar that shattered every window that wasn't already broken. The zombies stepped away from their prey, and the nine got back into a group. The monster advanced, opened its mouth, and attacked.

Chapter 30
Chapter 30: "How the hell do you plan to get us out of here?" Calvin asked. "I'm thinking." Derek replied. They were in a cell in a prison across from Hayes Inc. "Hey boys!" Amy called. She stood by the bars on the cell. A quick yank and they tumbled to the floor. "How..." Jake began. "It's an old cell. They forgot to touch it up I guess." "Welll...um...let's go!"
Zack approached the man in the dark suit. He stood at the top of his ruined skyscraper. "The prisoners have escaped I presume?" "Yes master." Zack replied. Gregory turned to his servant. "They must be eliminated before they find Reaper and Scythe. You remeber what happens if they unite." "Yes master." Gregory tensed up for a minute. "I believe the serum is taking effect. You may want to leave Zachary, there's no telling what would happen if-" His muscles suddenly buldged. Zack, knowing what was coming, bolted from the room.
They four of them were approaching the Hayes building when they heard it. A scream that turned into a deep, guttaral growl. The earth shook, and the four covered their ears. "That's not a good sign." Calvin said. It was almost instantaneous. Suddenly, hundreds of zombies came out of nowhere and surrounded them. "Shit." Amy exclaimed. She pulled her uzis out and got ready for the attack. Before anyone could move though, a humvee burst through the ranks of the zombies and slid to a stop in front of them. A man and a woman hopped out. "Hi, I'm Reaper," the man said. "This is my partner Scythe. Looks like you could use some help."

Chapter 29
Chapter 29: There were signs pointing the way down to the city. When they arrived, the buildings were falling apart and there were still zombies roaming around. "This doesn't seem very safe..." Zack said. There was the sound of movement, and Derek felt a gun pushed to the back of his head. "YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR REJECTING ME FOR THAT WHORE JEN!" Calvin and Zack wrestled her down for the third time. "Calm down Amy!" By now, the party had figured out that Amy was mad at Derek because on their first and only date he stood her up for Jen. Pretty stupid, but then again, Amy was pretty psycho. "So...where's the shelter?" Jake asked. "It should be around here somewhere...THERE!" He pointed to a large grey building. They got out (after handcuffing Amy) and approaced the ruined skyscraper. On the front were the rements of a company that now read "_a__s Inc.". "This is a shelter?" Calvin asked. "Okay, so maybe its not completely a shelter, but its the company that insured our experiment." Zack said. "Experiment? What experiment?" Derek asked. Zack stepped back and snapped his fingers. A dozen soldiers came out from their hiding places and surrounded the four of them. "YOU BASTARD!" Derek exclaimed. "Oh, and by the way Derek, that experiment, is you." "M-me?" "You'll see soon enough. Take them to the prison." Jake, Amy, Derek, and Calvin stuggled as they were dragged away. "YOU WON"T GET AWAY WITH THIS!" "I already have my friend, I already have!"
Chapter 28
Chapter 28: "ZACK!!!" Derek shouted. The creature got closer with every passing second. Nick let one hand go and reached down to grab his shotgun. "This isn't a good day to piss me off mother-fucker!" He fired shell after shell into the monster, but nothing seemed to slow it down. Amy lead Zack back to the van and forced him inside. She shut the door than walked over to Derek and Nick. "Amy, please..." Amy put her foot on Derek's hand, and was about to push him off when the stranger that had been fighting the monster earlier tackled her and knocked her unconcious. Nick looked up at Derek. "There's only one way that monster's gonna die..." He pulled a grenade from his belt. "Nick...NO! I won't let you!" "I'm sorry Derek, but you have a life to live." Nick let go of Derek's hand and pulled the pin. He plummeted into the monster's mouth, and the stranger had barely pulled Derek up before the explosion rocked the canyon. Derek lifted Amy and put her in the back of the van. "Y-you saved my life. Your welcome to come with us." "Thank you. It's always better to travel in a group." "What's your name by the way? I'm Derek." He extended his hand. The stranger shook it. "I'm Calvin. Nice to meet you." They got into the van and Derek took the wheel again. Zack had tears in his eyes. "So where's the shelter?" Zack pointed up ahead to a sign that indicated that the city was 13 miles away. Up in the sky, missle smoke lined the stars. "We've got to get going." Derek put the van into gear and drove off.
Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Jake was stunned. Only moments ago, Derek had been on the verge of death, about to turn into a zombie. Now, he was fit as a horse! "So," Derek said turning to Nick. "You are?" "My name's Nick and this is my buddy Zack. You already know Jake I presume." "Yeah I do. Where's John?" At the mention of his father's name, Jake burst into tears again, burying his face in his hands. "W-what did I say?" Derek asked. Nick whispered the events of the base to Derek. "Jake...I'm so sorry..." Jake sniffled and wiped his face on his sleeve. "It's all right....I-I'm just trying to cope with the fact that I'm an orphan now..." "LOOK OUT!" Zack shouted. Derek suddenly saw a huge monster in the middle of the road. It was at least twice as big as a normal human, and it looked like it was fighting someone... "We have to do something!" Jake shouted. "Your right." Nick replyed. "Zack, Derek, come with me. Jake, stay in the van." "Aw maaaaaan." Jake moaned. Nick, Zack, and Derek jumped from the van, guns at the ready. Zack fired at the beast's back, causing it to hiss and scream. It turned from the man it was fighting and charged at the three of them. Zack shot its side, and it slipped and plowed through Nick and Derek, taking them over a ravine. Derek managed to grab the side with his left hand, and Nick's hand with his right. "Zack! A little help here!" Before he could reach him though, a voice rang through the canyon: "Hey Derek. Long time no see." A woman was leaning against the van. Derek's eyes opened with shock. "Amy?!" "Derek! You can catch up later!" Nick shouted from below. The creature was scaling the cliff and approaching them fast. Derek's grip was slipping on both Nick and the cliff. Zack went to help them, but Amy put the Uzi up to the back of his head. "Take one more step and your brains splatter all over the ground. Derek's going to pay for what he did." "Amy please! This isn't the time for old grudges!" Derek shouted. "It's the perfect time Derek, the perfect time."
Chapter 26 (special guest writer igott from Newgrounds!)
Chapter26: "Good luck guys, you're going to need it." the dropship pilot said as Reaper and Scythe jumped out onto the park. "The General advises you guys to go through the sewers.""Alright lass, lets get some survivors." Reaper said as he ran to the nearest manhole."Where are they?" Scythe said as she readied Reaper's shot gun in case of zombies waiting on the other side. Reaper slowly slid the heavy iron lid , but no zombies."Clear" Scythe said as she gave the shotgun to Reaper. Reaper then jumped down the hole and Scythe followed.
Casey looked over his shoulder as he was running. Captain Bishop was right behind him with a wall of zombies toting behind."Run, man, Run like fucking hell!" Bishop screamed.Suddenly, the ring of a sniper rifle pierced though the moans of zombies and the splashes. The zombies topped chasing in fear that they were next suddenly tow ultraviolet flood lights pierced the dim sewers the zombies screamed as they were burnt by the rays and slowly receded."You guys alright?" a female voice said as the water beside them splashed."Yeah, who are you guys?" McNabb asked."U.S. Special Forces." a male Scottish accent said. "I'm Reaper and she's Scythe. We're here to extract survivors.""I guess we're the only survivors in the city." Casey said."No, we got a truck moving North. We intend to intercept it and pull them out." Scythe said reveling her face from the darkness. Her hair held in a ponytail poking out of her helmet and her eyes were hidden by a visible HUD screen."We think that they'll stop a little ways from city hall and hold there. We got to make it there."Bishop nodded. "our Intel says that we can stop them in 5 minutes and the tunnel here can get us here in 3 minutes the problem is that its crawling with zombies. Or we got another tunnel that takes 6 minutes and its going to give us one or two zombies.
What should they do?
A) go to the surface and call in a Humvee
B) take the short tunnel

Chapter 25 (guest writer DiseasedFreak from Newgrounds!)
Chapter 25: "You can't be serious!" Casey exclaims as he stands upon the blood-stained asphault of Eastbound 18. "It smells like shit down there!" Sgt. McNab shrugs and turns glances at Captain Bishop. The Captain frowns and looks ahead. The streets were crammed full of undead. "That's because it is shit. Look, we have to make it to that installation. Would you rather take the scenic route!?" Casey turns his head towards the chaos and replies, "I think I'll take point..." With that, he turns on his Military-Spec Angled Flashlight and attatches it to the front of his belt. Casey covers his nose with one hand as jumps down the large stormdrain. He plummits to the murky water below, splashing it up onto his combat suit. "It's clear!"The Captain followed close behind Casey, assault rifle poised for action. "It's so fuckin' dark down here!" Mack exclaims, as he carefully covers the rear of the formation. Riley turns his and replies, "It's a sewer, dammit!" Sergeant Mcnab turns, puts his finger over his lip and whispers, "Just because we're fucked doesn't mean you have any right to ignore your training. Now shut the hell up!"Casy's nerves caused him to tense up. His hands were sweating again. His hands always sweated. He could hear the water rushing beside him as he quietly walked along, leading their team deeper into the pitch-black abyss. The footsteps of the Captain softly rattled behind him. A heavy splash echoed from a few yards ahead in the tunnel. Casey's fist shot into the air, motioning for the team to stop. He raised his assault rifle closer to his head and waited. His heart began to race. The Captain slowly crept up close to Casey's back and motioned for him to back up. Casey momentarily turned his head just in time to see the Captian lob a grenade towards near the location of the noise. The grenade landed in the murky sewer water with a small spash. No more than a second later, the tunnel quakes and lights up with a very loud explosion, which echoed down the tunnel. Within the split-second grenade flash, a large figure could be seen standing in the distance. It was too big to be human...much to big.Raaaaaaaaaaaaggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!! A deep gutteral snarl quickly followed the explosion, and deep, heavy footsteps began trudging in the murky sewer streams...closer...and closer. The Captian shouts, "It's getting closer!! Shoot at it!!"Gun fire rings through the tunnel walls. The creature is once again illuminated, this time by the muzzle flashes five hot assault rifles.Bullets cut through the musty air, only to spark into the approaching creature's rough hide. Unphased by the teams onslaught, the beast continues to slowly trudge toward the team. Merely a few feet away now, Casey can make out the creature's face. Fire red eyes lightly illuminate its hideous face. Casey quickly ejects his empty magazing and crams another in it's place. Looking down at his hands, he notices that they are shaking. Quickly coming to grips with the situation, he raises his unsteady weapon up to his face and unleashes an entire 35 round clip right into the monster's fire-red eyes. As the others continue to assault with an unceasing barrage of projectiles, a small stream of red gew explodes out of the beast's hideous glowing eyes. Sparks continue to flash around its body and face, but the creature merely halts in its place. The Captain motions with his hand to cease fire, and watches in disbelief as blood pours from the eyes of the huge beast. The tunnel dims and darkness begins to shround the sewer once again.Slowly, the montster begins to sway, and eventually falls face first into the murky stream of water. A heavy pool of water shoots into the air, and settles around the creature. The murk of the water soon turns to a pale shade of red, and continues to flow back into the dark abyss. An eerie silence fills the sewer, and the Captain hesitantly steps past Casey, and slowly approaches the mysterious monster. Bishop unclips his Military-Spec Angled Flashlight and raises it over the creature.Captain Bishop slowly waves the light up and down the beast's tough, matted hide. Upon closer examimation, the Captain mutters, "Holy fuck."

Chapter 24 (THE LAST OF PART II)
Chapter 24: Gregory stepped up to the control pannel. There were statistics everywhere, but he didn't care about that. There was a large red button on the pannel, and he knew that everything he had been working for would finally come to frutition. He pressed the button. In that instance, the virus was spread world wide. In 10 minutes, 10 million people were dead or turned. That number doubled every half hour. The whole world was crippled, and within 24 hours, 3 1/2 billion people were turned. The earth was almost entirely covered by zombies. There was no safe place left. No place to run, no place to hide. The missles stopped, but the infection never did. Mankind knew it was doomed. It excepted the inevitable. The landscape was soon barren. Nothing remained of Earth's economy. The day the earth became infected. The day the sunlight left earth...forever...

Chapter 23
Chapter 23: Nick ran to the med lab, but John was gone. "John! Where are you? I have your son!" John suddenly burst from his cover behind an examination table and pinned Nick to the wall. "WHERE IS HE?!" Barely able to speak, Nick managed to sputter out "He's fine. He's at the shelter." It was then that Zack burst in. "Nick, Jake got away from me. I don't know where he is now." John released Nick and bolted from the room. "I got more bad news. The gate's been breached again. The zombies are in the base." "SHIT!" Nick exclaimed. They ran down the hall after John and they found him and Jake. John was being eaten alive while Jake tried desprately to save his father. Zack and Nick killed the zombies, but it was too late for John. He was already gone. Tears were streaming down Jake's face. "I became an orphan in less than three hours..." He broke down, sobbing and burying his face in Nick's shoulder. "Come on Jake, we're going to take you to the shelter. You'll be safe there." Unfortunately, they had to exit the base to get to the shelter. They left, Nick piggybacking Jake, and Zack firing at the zombies. They were stopped by an armored van sliding in front of them. The driver door swong open. There sat Derek, safe, sound, and perfectly healthy. "Need a lift?"
Chapter 22
Chapter 22: Gregory Hayes stared out the window of his 57th floor penthouse. He saw the carnage he had helped create sprawled out before him. It pleased him. Only a little longer. Once the missles had destroyed the US, the rest of this puny planet would soon be his. One of his tentecles absentmindedly grabbed a pen from his desk and threw it at the door where is stuck like so many other objects there. A knock at the door, and the tentecles withdrew again. A scientist entered. "S-sir, the virus. I think it's ready to go worldwide." A grin broke across Greg's face. "Excellent. Ready it for me." "Y-yes sir." he stuttered as he backed out of the room. "My plan is almost finished, just one more step." He withdrew a syringe from his pocket and injected it.
Chapter 21
Chapter 21: Greenly ran down the hall, desprate to find his best friend and then get the hell out of there. Hopefully before the missle hit. "Nick!" he shouted. Nothing. Meanwhile, Nick was looking for his dog Terry. "Come here boy!" he called. "Terry!" He suddenly heard a growl. When he turned around, there was his beloved Golden Retreiver, chunks of hair missing, bite marks on it, and completely zombified. Terry was gone. "NOOOOOOOOOO!" Terry lept at his former owner, and Nick stumbled trying to get away from his dog. Suddenly, BLAM! Terry collabpsed dead at his masters feet. Zack Greenly stood a few feet away with his gun still smoking. "I'm sorry Nick, but we have to go." Nick, with tears still streaming down his face, suddenly remembered why he hadn't left yet. "Zack, there's a child trapped outside the gate! We have to help him!" "Nick, we don't have time for this! A missle's about to hit!" "Which is all the more reason to-wait, what?!" "Several countries are launching missles at the US in an attempt to destroy the virus. ""They can't do that!" "Yes they can, and they are. We have to get to the bomb shelter." "I'm saving that kid." Finally, Zack gave in. "Allright, we get the kid, then find a way to the shelter." "Fine." Nick and Zack stocked up and ran into the yard where the gate stood still. "What makes you think he even survived?" "I know he did. Just trust me." They hopped the wall, and Zack covered Nick while he searched the car for Jake. He found him hiding in the trunk. "W-who are you?" the kid managed to ask. "My name's Nick, and I'm gonna bring you to saftey." Jake scrambled onto Nick's back and they rushed towards the gate. "Zack, I got him!" "Great!" Zack called. Once they were all safely inside the base, they realized the the zombies now knew there were people inside, and were working as hard as they could to break down the gate. "My dad." Jake said. "Right!" Nick exclaimed. "There's no way in hell I'm going after this kid's father too." "You don't have too. Take Jake down to the shelter and I'll find his dad." And Nick rushed off without another word. "I have to help him." Jake said. "But how?"

Chapters 16-20
Chapter 16: Derek drew the revolver and fired all six shots. Five of them were headshots, killing the zombies instantly. The last hit a zombie in the neck. "Let's move!' Derek shouted. Together, him, and John carrying Jake bolted past the zombies and down the stairs. After a few minutes, they managed to find a working car. As they drove away from the town, John flicked on the radio. It was static on every channel except one, a barely audible anouncement that spoke of a military base a few miles out side of town. "We could go!" John said. "It would be perfect!" "I don't know." Derek said. "I mean, it could be a trap." Before another word was spoken, Derek slammed on the brakes. Standing in front of them in the middle of the road, was Jen. Derek slowly got out of the car. "J-Jen. How do you feel?" Jen didn't say a word, only stepped closer. Oddly, Derek did too. They were finally face to face. Jen looked as beatiful as she did in life, only a little paler. It looked as if Derek was going to do something, but Jen spoke first. "ReVeNgE!" she whispered, then sank her teeth into Derek's neck. John scremed and got out of the car. "Derek! No!" Jen relinquished her grip on Derek, than planted a kiss right on his lips. It was an odd sensation. Derek could already feel the virus taking effect, and he also tasted his own blood and flesh on Jen's tongue, and still, it tasted good. John finally did the only thing he could do.
What should John do?
A) Fire the flare gun at Jen.
That's right! This chapter was written by my good friend, CopyandPaste! He gave me some new ideas for the story, and instead of the choose ur own adventure ending, it ends on a regular old cliffhanger! This changes the series forever. Read on!
Chapter 17: The sweat settled on Casey's hands, tightly clenching his assault rifle. He slowly peered out the half-broken window, which he had knelt beside the entire night. Shell casings lay scattered all over the matted rug. Outside, he could see the terror which had struck this once peaceful city. In the distance, he could still smell the burning fuel of the downed Blackhawk. The thick, black smoke continued to carry itself higher into the bleeding sky. He could still hear the screams and wails of the uninfected outside, helpless to even save themselves. The door behind him slowly creaked open. He turned around to see Master Sergeant McNab glaring back at him. "Get up kid, Captain Bishop wants to see everybody in the living room."Casey rises from his slouched position and follows the Sergeant down the hall of the tattered apartment building. Captain Bishop turned and nodded as the two men entered the living room. The Captain stood up, turned around, and began to search the eyes of his anxious soldiers. In all, five had survived this failed special forces rescue operation. Those who hadn't died in the crash had quickly been killed by the unending swarms of undead."Look, I've called you all here because there's.....something you need to know." The Captain cleared his throat and turned his attention to a small radio on a broken nightstand. "Mack and I have been trying to reach the military base in this area for the past few hours........with a little tampering, we got this damn thing working a little." The Captain glances down at his feet, then turns his attention over to Mack. Mack senses the gesture and begins, "We managed to pick up a little radio chatter from command, and...I've got some disturbing.." Mack could feel a large lump well up in his throut and quickly looks down. The Captain steps over and puts a hand on his tenseshoulder. "Look, as the commanding officer here, it's my responsibility to keep fellows all alive. But...I'm afraid our time is almost up gentlemen. Command is bitching about a Russian missile launch somewhere in..." The Captain looks back over to Mack who replies, "Portsdown, Ukraine. The fuckers launched a shit missile." Sergeant McNab straightens his posture and barks, "What!? Where's it headed!?" "Nobody knows." the Captain replies. "But, you boys have a right to know. As far as I can tell, the commies' feel threatened by this viral outbreak crap. The North Koreans are supposedly prepping one too."The room fell in a dead silence as Captain Bishop continued to speak the disheartening news. "Look, there isn't going to be anymore military assistance in this. Our boys are fighting for there lives out there, not trying to rescue people anymore. We're screwed..."Casey eyes, wide with uncretainty, turns and asks, "So what now?" The Captain turns, looks him right in the eyes, and replies, "There's only one thing we can do now..."
What does he suggest they do?
B. Head toward the military installation in the area.
Chapter 18: Derek finally broke the kiss. He spat his own blood all over the road, and a chunk of his skin came flying out. Jen took a step forward, but was John stepped between her and Derek. "I'm sorry Jen, but this has to be done." He took aim at her and fired the flare gun. It exploded and Jen burst into flames. Derek was pale, and losing conciousness. "Come on! Get in the car!" John helped him into the passenger seat, than got in the driver seat. "We'll find you a cure Derek, don't worry!" He drove down the street, watching Jen's body slowly turn to ash in the distance. John breathed a sigh of releif, which quickly turned into a gasp of shock as he drove right into a crowd of zombies. They circled the car, and slowly got closer and closer. John gunned it, plowing down the zombies in his path. They drove back down the road untill something huge loomed in the distance. It looked like...a military installation! Soldiers! Unfortunately, it was surrounded by zombies and the gate was closing fast. John had to make a decsision.
What should he do?
A) Plow through the zombies and try to make it through the gate.
Chapter 19: Nick ran into the control room and looked out at the wreckage that was formerly his base. Bodies lay everywhere, and the zombies were still pouring in through the opened gate. Nick hit the lever and the gate started to close. He was going to turn and run back to help the surviving soldiers when he thought he heard a noise. It sounded like...a car? Then he saw it. A car driving full speed towards the closing gate. Nick grabbed the door lever and tried to stop it, but it tore from the control board. "Uh oh." The car and door were gaining speed. Finally, it reached the gate, and just as it was going under, the gate hit the middle of the car, tearing it in two. The front half flew into the base, while the back slid out, the door slamming shut in front of it. A man got out of the car and grabbed another man from the passenger seat. Some soldiers ran up to the strangers, seperating them. They took the driver to the med lab, and the other to the quarrintine room. It sounded like the driver was shouting something. "My son! Please! My son is trapped outside the gate! We have to help him! PLEASE!" The rest of his words were cut off. So his son was in the back half of the car. He couldn't let an innocent boy die, no matter how much pain he was in, Nick would save that boy. But he couldn't do it alone. He needed help.
Who should he get to help?
C) Terry (his dog)
D) A soldier
Chapter 20: John was dragged down the hall by the soldiers, kicking and fighting them the whole way. "I have to save my son! He's going to die!" They finally reached the med lab and John was led to the table and strapped down. "You've been in contact with the infected. We're going to give you a serum that will protect you against the virus." the doctor flicked the needle and went in for the shot. Another man put a hard peice of plastic in John's mouth. "Mmmph!MMMMMMPPPPPPPHHHHHHHH!" But before the injection could be administered, a soldier came into the room. "S-sir, I think you'd better see this." John didn't realize it before, but the man at his side must be a general. "Not now Greenly, I'm busy!" "But sir, there's been a launch. Several in fact. There are missles on their way here." Everyone stopped. Even John stopped struggling for a minute. "Most of the east coast is already gone sir, they don't know exactly where the outbreak is, so their bombing the whole country." "Sweet Jesus!" The general ran past the soldier, who ran in the opposite direction. The doctor still stood stock still. John, realizing that his left arm was loose, ripped the strap off and punched the doc in the face. "Now to save my son and find shelter from those missles."
Derek was thrown into a clear glass box, and was losing all of his senses. He was getting hungry again, hungry for-NO! He wan't going to turn into one of those things! Never! He had seen what had happened to Jen, and he wouldn't let himself get turned! His head was spinning, and he didn't realize that gases were pouring into the room. The world turned black, and he collapsed to the ground. Everthing was gone...
What should John do?

Chapters 11-15
Okay, just like I said at the beginning of the last chapter, I'll be switching back and forth, so this chapter is Derek and the family.
Chapter 11: Derek slowly got back into the truck. Jen's blood was still on his hands and clothes. He started the truck and started to drive. "Where's the TV station." he asked Brandy. Brandy looked up with a glow in her eyes. "It's just at the edge of town. I can show you the way." When they reached it, it seemed peaceful enough. Then they got inside. At the news desk was the half eaten corpses of the newscasters and cameramen. Brandy made a noise sort of like a yip and walked past them. "Robert works in the offices on the third floor." John whispered, pointing up. "Alright," Derek said. He still held Jen's shotgun in his hands. "Stick together." By the time they reached the third floor, they realized that the building was devoid of anything living or undead. They opened the door to the offices to see blood and guts everywhere. After a minute of searching, Brandy found her son, torn open and practically unrecognizeable. She broke down in tears and fell into her husband's arms as Derek covered Robert's body with his coat. Then, they heard the sound of an engine. A truck engine. Jake was standing by the window, and he shouted back, "Hey Derek, someone's stealing your truck!" Derek rushed to the window and saw that Jake was right. He watched the truck drive slowly out of sight. "Now what?" Jake asked. "I know they have news vans in the parking garage. Robert showed me them once." "But the parking garage could be crawling with zombies! I think we should look for a car in the street." Brandy replied. "Hold it!" Derek said. "This is what we're gonna do..."
What should they do?
D) Search the building for anything useful.
Chapter 12:Nick ran down three flights of stairs, the whole time keeping his finger on the trigger of the gun. By the time the clip was empty, 5 zombies were lying on the floor. "Come on Terry, it's not safe here anymore." The golden retrever ran behind his owner as they raced out of the complex. "No!" Nick's SUV was tipped on it's side, and there were zombies quickly closing in around him. He looked across the street to see a truck parked next to a TV station. "That'll have to do. Let's go boy!" Terry barked and ran ahead to the truck. Nick was running at full speed, but somehow, it seemed that the zombies were getting faster! "They're adapting faster than I thought!" Terry was already in the truck bed when Nick got in the driver's seat, started the car, and drove down the street.
He arrived at the shelter 30 minutes later. They opened the gate for him, but quickly shut it again. Nick lept out of the truck with Terry behind him, dusting off his military uniform. The sergant of the area approached Nick. "Did you find any survivors private? And where's Verral?" "Killed in the line of duty sir! There are more of them then we originaly thought sir!" Nick replied. "Damnnit. Get back to your bunk soldier." "Yes sir!"
A few miles away, in a ditch by the side of a road, a woman stirred. She had an immense headache, and felt blood encrusted in her hair. She felt oddly...hungry...hungry for something she never thought she'd hunger for...human flesh. Jen got up and smelled blood coming from the nearly deserted city. "Revenge." she moaned. The image of the boy still burned in her mind. "REVENGE!"
End of Part I
Chapter 13: "ACCESS GRANTED." the disembodied voice said. The doors slid open with a swish and Gregory Hayes stepped into the lab. The scientists were looking at some samples of the HTZ virus, but when they saw him come in, they stopped everything to look their boss full in the face. "How are we coming gentlemen?" he asked. "I think you'll be pleased with our progress sir." the lead scientist replied. He pulled a small vial out of his coat pocket. It seemed to be filled with a green liquid. "I think we've created an antidote!" Gregory took the vial from the scientist, swished it around, than threw it against the wall. It shattered instantly. "I DON'T WANT AN ANTIDOTE! YOU THINK IF I WANTED AN ANTIDOTE I WOULD HAVE INFECTED THESE PEOPLE IN THE FIRST PLACE?!" The scientist was cowering behind his equipiment. "S-sir it's j-just a s-safety p-p-procaution." Gregory calmed down enough to breath, walked over to the scientist, and lifted him up by his throat. "I don't give a flying fuck about safety. I want this virus global in one weeks time. You hear me? ONE WEEK." The scientists were flabbergasted. "We can't work that fast!" He squeezed the scientist in his hand untill his neck snapped, than threw him to the floor. "Find a way." Than he stormed out of the lab, the lead scientists blood still on his hands.
Chapter 14: Derek and John tore apart the TV station, looking for anything that would help them. They found a flare gun, and a revolver. Derek sighed. "Well, it's getting dark. We probably don't want to be caught outside at night with those things. We should-" But Derek was cut off by a sudden scream. "Brandy." John said. He bolted down the stairs to help his wife and son. "John, wait! Damnnit!" he exclaimed, running after him.
Jake was curled up in a corner when John found him. Brandy lay a few feet away, zombies still feasting on her flesh. "John, you gotta-"but Derek stopped when he saw the scene that lay before him. Hearing a voice, the zombies looked up. "FrEsH mEaT!!!!" one said. They rose from Brandy's body, approaching the others. John lifted Jake in his arms and him and Derek backed into a wall. "What now?!" John shouted.
What should Derek do?
A) Shoot the zombies with the revolver.
Okay everyone, this chapter was written by Nikenick on Newgrounds.com , whom my charecter Nick was inspire after.
Chapter 15: Nick got back to his bunk. "phew I'm exhausted" he said. He feed his dog Terry and he got into his bed. "G'night Terry!" But his golden retriever was already asleep. "He must be tired off running away from all that zombies". Nick fell asleep himself too and hoped for a peaceful night.CODE RED CODE RED The Alarm went off! "What!" shouted Nick "Whats happening?""The zombies broke into the base!"A soldier shouted."Im - Impossible! How could this happen? Nick said."Someone let the gate open! Nick said nothing and looked into the room.He looks at all the distruction, the blood, the gore, the body parts.."Why are they doing this to us?"He thought. At that point a zombie run into him, he grabbed his knife and cutted the zombies arm off, blood was spilling on his face and on the floor. The zombie attacked him and struck him in his chest."AAARGH!" Nick grabbed his gun and with his last powers he shot the zombie's head off. Blood spilled out of the head and the zombies was screaming. His bunk was safe for now, but zombies were still walking around in his base..
What should Nick do?
C) Try to close the gate so no more zombies can come in.

Terry barked and ran ahead to the truck.
"REVENGE!"
