Chapter 38: Casey yawned and stretched as he walked into his living room. His wife Amy was watching the news on the couch while their son played with his blocks on the floor. "Casey, have you heard about the murders?" Amy asked. "No I haven't. You think there's zombies involved?" "I doubt it. The dome is still holding strong." "I'll send Nick and Austin in to check it out." "Good idea. They haven't seen any real action in months!"
A few months after arriving in New Washington, Nick and Austin had set up a Private Investigator service. Amy was right, the last few cases they had gotten had been nothing more than a simple robbery. That's why Austin got excited when he picked up the phone and heard Casey on the other end. "How's buissness?" he asked. "Pretty slow now, but I'm guessing you have a case for us?" "I certainly do. Do you guys watch the news?"
The man walked over the hill, finally seeing his destination. The huge dome city of New Washington loomed in the distance. "At last." He hitched his cloak over his sholders and walked a bit faster.
